Benedict XVI: the Incarnation, our founding mystery.
The first grace is faith, the second is eternal life, the pope noted taking a cue from today's liturgy which repeats the prologue of the Gospel of St. John, solemnly proclaimed on Christmas Day. A text, the pope said, speaking to the faithful in St. Peter's Square that again presents the mystery of the Incarnation and is in the form of a hymn. In greetings to the faithful in different languages Benedict XVI returned to the importance to follow the path indicated by God who became man in our lives.
