Waitrose has taken the lead in suggesting the Mother's Day holiday be gender-neutral and renamed as "You day", "Guardian's Day" or "Carer's Day" with their greeting card line.
Trans campaigner Karen Pollock prefers what she calls a Christian term, "Mothering Day" for the secular event since anyone can be mothering.
