Seine Frau glaubte jedoch an Gott und zog ihre Kinder im Glauben auf, trotz der seltenen Versäumnisse ihres Mannes. Eines Winterabends ging meine Frau mit ihren Kindern zu einem Gottesdienst in eine Dorfkirche. Es hätte eine Predigt über die Taufe geben sollen. Die Frau bat ihren Mann, mit ihnen zu gehen, aber er weigerte sich.
