I miss the days when Gloria.tv reminded me of what a great blessing it is to be Catholic. Every time I checked out what had been posted, the first thing I saw on the screen was gloria.tv - the more catholic the better!
Maybe, if this motto would be reinstated, we wouldn't have so many non-Catholics posting things intended to "enlighten" us Catholics. We know that they don't have a clue, but they don't, and it's so annoying at times.
Maybe @Dr Bobus could tell me if this is an improvised version of the Ite Missa Est. Our choir director hasn't heard it before. It's pretty impressive - at least I like it.
I propose that this sermon youtube.com/watch?v=oQsqiK58I2s by Fr. Joseph Haynos would make an excellent meditation on the love of God. I've been making it an almost daily spiritual contemplation, and so far, it hasn't grown old - not one bitMore
Too Much Christo. The very first biography of Peter To Rot written in 1950 by To Rot’s friend, Fr Carl Laufer. This is a short story of his heroic faith and martyrdom, and will be of special interest to anyone who watched the video posted earlier today by Irapuato - @Irapuato
This year the Anniversary of the 1906 Miracle of our Lady of Quito, falls on Easter Sunday. Today would be day one of a novena to our loving Madre Dolorosa.
April 20, 1906 - Miracle of Delorosa del Colegio in Quito, Ecuador
@Edie Loughmiller. Thank you for this post. On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the miracle, His Holiness Pope Pius X11 decreed the Canonical Coronation of the miraculous image of Our Sorrowful Mother, declaring Her Queen of Catholic Education in Ecuador. ~ There is a whole lot more to this beautiful image than meets the eye? (Check out President Garcia Gabriel Moreno!) ~
Discovering Our Lady of Bethlehem, California's Oldest Marian Statue | by Dr. Marian Horvat Created for the History of the Catholic Faith in the Americas Conference, this full-length presentation by Church scholar and historian Dr. Marian T. Horvat explores the adventure and role of the life-size dressed statue of Our Lady of Bethlehem that accompanied Fr. Viewers will also learn of the statue’s continued presence in Mission San Carlos Borromeo in Carmel-by-the-Sea, and Our Lady of Bethlehem’s fate when the missions were dissolved and the friars dismissed by the Act of Secularization imposed by the Mexican government in 1833.
