Whatever others may think, Mother Teresa consorted with all types of people to perform her acts of charity. Famous atheists scolded her for receiving money from notorious gamblers and other unsavory types. Only God can judge her motives. However, it may be one reason why her cause for canonization should have been investigated more thoroughly. Another person who has a similar reputation is Dorothy Day. She may have been well meaning, but she was very sympathetic to socialism. Her Catholic Worker newspaper speaks for itself. Unfortunately, these two ladies are the kinds of 'saintly' examples that I've heard modern priests extol.
