Happy Vatican: Amoris-Laetitia- and Pachamama-Bishop Did It for Decades

Lafont's homosex record is long but since he is anti-Catholic, he was and is above the law.
• Claims of homosexual misconduct against Lafont have been piling up since his 2004 arrival in French Guiana (PillarCatholic.com, December 23).
• 2008: The husband of a former diocesan finance official complained to Lafont about his “imprudence” of placing immigrants including minors in his home. The woman wrote a letter to the Vatican.
• 2008: Five priests wrote a letter to the Vatican’s apostolic delegation to the Antilles complaining about Lafont's financial, pastoral, and sexual practices. The Vatican appointed retired Nice Bishop Jean Bonfils to investigate, surprising him because he was Lafont's close friend. The outcome: Lafont was asked to stop housing immigrants at his residence.
• In 2017 a local man, 25, stayed in Lafont's residency. Within a few days, a naked Lafont entered his room asking to fornicate with him (Marianne.net). The man talked to a female diocesan employee and to the chancellor who approached Lafont. No other action was taken, but Lafont reduced the woman's responsibilities and started verbally abusing her.
• 2021: A former diocesan employee caught Lafont while having sex with a male immigrant.
• 2021: Lafont received a Haitian immigrant, 27, in his house in exchange for "homosexual favours".
In May 2020, Lafont called on Catholics to accept the Covid Mass ban saying that "this fixation [on Mass] does not seem healthy to me; I even find it a little immature.” He didn't say anything about "fixation on young men."
Lafont also recalled his time in South Africa when he once celebrated a funeral in a family home and there was "no place" for a Novus Ordo table, "so I put the chalice and the ciborium on the coffin.”
It is a fact that for decades only good bishops have had to fear the Vatican.
