Ai (or AI)... Interesting question
Artificial Intelligence has been big in the news and technology for the past 3-5 years (again). The acronym AI is often used for it.
And Joshua burnt Ai, and made it an heap for ever, even a desolation unto this day (Joshua 8:28)
Oh... and for those who care... what is called Artificial Intelligence today is nothing more than better and faster tools to perform essentially the same statistical and analytical operations used in standard (1950's and before) predictive math methods.
Any Logistics or reliability analyst from the 50's would be familiar with the process.
Most AI engineers of the previous several times we brought it into limelight would likely be aghast that we are calling it Artificial Intelligence.
But, media decides everything these days... Even what goes into peoples blood.
@Dr Bobus When behind the veil, it is the same as I did long ago, except I sent the work off to a data center, had much smaller databases, and it took lots longer.
As for hardware changes... since they can do so now with these fancy chips, they added some logic called Ternary Content Address Memory (TCAM) which can find things in lists faster and smarter. Just not too many running at once. This logic has actually heated to the point it desolders the chip just doing network lookups. And... Remote Direct Memory Access (RDMA) that makes it possible to use memory sitting on another computer across the network.
Nope... the bible and covid are not all I have studied.
