Surprisingly Failed: German Bishops REJECT Homosexual Immorality

Among the laity, the text had received the whopping two-thirds majority.
The document wanted to "re-define" Church's sexual teaching and lied that “homosexuality – also expressed in sexual acts – is […] not a sin" and "not to be judged as intrinsically bad.”
After the vote, there was lots of frustration. Crying delegates protested or left the hall.
Birgit Mock, Vice-President of the lay body Zentralkomitee deutscher Katholiken, said: "I don't know what to tell my children after today's meeting."
Presiding Bishop Georg Bätzing of Limburg is "personally disappointed with this vote": "This is a crisis situation."
Irme Stetter-Karp, President of the ZdK, in tears: "Why are we investing so much energy and time here? There are bishops who are not prepared to voice their opinions".
Bishop Helmut Dieser of Aachen does not know how he can still talk about sexuality.
Cardinal Reinhard Marx of Munich is "very disappointed", "The bishops must also stand by their positions publicly and should justify them."
