Even God the omnipotent One, cannot create a more glorious creature than the Blessed Virgin
Attending to Church (nearly) every Sunday, reading Evangelions I knew Holy Mary as Mother of Jesus but I didn't feel need to worship Her. I didn't understand why Priests worshipped Her, thinking Jesus is the most important for us. Only I began to read revelations (approved by Church authorities) given to blesed A.K. Emmerich, decribed in the comment below.

Don’t worship Mary, honor and venerate.
I got to know Holy Mother of our Saviour and began to worship from revelations given to blessed A. K. Emmerich - THE LOWLY LIFE AND BITTER PASSION OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST AND HIS BLESSED MOTHER TOGETHER WITH THE MYSTERIES OF THE OLD TESTAMENT. Older edition, better edition.
