Francis Is Dead And Beautiful Vestments Emerged From the Sacristy

Cardinal Kevin Farrell - Camerlengo of the Church, Prefect for the Laity and a former flat-mate of homosexual Cardinal Theodore McCarrick - appeared in beautiful vestments to transfer the mortal remains of Pope Francis to St Peter's Basilica.

These vestments had not been seen since the papacy of Benedict XVI. They are ornate red brocade garments adorned with gold details.

Rorate Caeli commented on X.com: “The highly oppressive and heavy atmosphere has been lifted for now. (Don't believe what the media says, the past 12 years were increasingly a reign of absolutist fear and heaviness for all working in the Holy See.)”

Cardinal Kevin Farrell, presided over the ceremony of transferring the body of Pope Francis to St. Peter's Basilica, dressed in a red pluvial cloak - of the same set as the dalmatics of the deacons who were accompanying him - which had been worn for the last time by Benedict XVI. A red and gold ornament, very baroque

In the Vatican, gestures are always more eloquent than words.

We will see if the detail of Cardinal Farrell's vestments was just the fantasy of some nostalgic sacristan, or if it is a message.

Francis had this idea that somehow wearing what others had worn before you was somehow ostentatious. I think what he failed to grasp was that it is a sign of humility to wear the uniform of the office instead of doing your own thing.

We will see Traditional or let's call it "Classic" Catholicism (so we are not jinxed by the 'friends of francis groups'), finally back, the way it belongs in the Vatican, Chair of Peter, Urbi et Orbi. 🙏 🙏 🙏

Do you mean "Classic Postconciliarism" i.e. Quran kissing but sometimes beautiful sidelong vestments?

And we have not ever seen Pope Francis attired thusly as we see him now displayed in such stately (and proper) Papal vestments. No, not at any time during his entire Papacy. He shunned adherence to all such Papal protocols, rubrics, customs and traditions of dress throughout the whole of his 12 year reign. He even refused to allow his Papal Coat of Arms to be embroidered on his White fascia. But now, in his demise, those to whom he entrusted his final rites have seen to it that, at least in death and for this once, he is appropriately vested.....thank God for small mercies.
