Another Blow for Francis’ “Justice”

Italy’s highest appeals court overturned on Wednesday an arrest warrant for Gianluigi Torzi, an Italian broker living in London on trial at the Vatican.

The Vatican accuses Torzi of embezzlement, fraud, money laundering and extortion. His arrest warrant will now be sent back to a lower tribunal that will have to decide whether to rescind or confirm it.

This is the latest setback for Francis and his prosecutors at the Becciu trial.
