Rector of Barcelona Seminary Complains: "Too Many Conservative [= Catholic] Seminarians"

Seminarians today [if there are any] are "reactionary," Rev. Salvador Barcadit, Rector of the Seminary of Barcelona, Spain, told ElPuntaVui.cat (August 13).

Rector Barcadit has noticed "a shift to the right" among seminarians: "The new generations, in times of crisis, seek security and these styles, these more fundamentalist and more conservative tendencies."

He sees the shift to conservatism can also be found among young people outside of the Church.

Barcadit's hope: "Pope Francis and also the bishops are concerned about this reality and want to try to redirect it."

In his seminary, they want to influence the young people with a "broader vision, a spirit of dialogue and a mentality that is more open to the diversity of people".

They only dress up as priests when it suits them, but in Hell they wanted to take off the collar and they couldn't because it would be a cause of shame and mockery for the demons to use.

What these modernists fail to consider [or maybe they do understand, but have a death wish for the Church] - progressive, liberal theology CAN NOT build up & sustain the faithful. Why bother to dedicate one's life to it??

The only way is to kick them out sadly...
I remember my priest, how they always questioned him on far left antichurch stuff like: women in the priesthood, and he always stayed in neutral by saying "im fine with what mother Church says, right now it is not permissible but if it were, I'm with the Church"
That's how he avoided the left in the seminaries by picking their minds, they always sought seminarians who were really catholic to kick them out.

There’s no way to redirect these “reactionaries,” besides kicking them out of seminary. Most are already adults when they enter nowadays.

Sure, young fervent for the True Faith seminarians and lay people are going to be inspired to go back to the 70s with these men. These old fellows have no real influence at all. They’re past it.
