Bishop Stika Out

Francis has accepted the resignation of Knoxville Bishop Rick Stika which he requested in April.

Stika had been accused of protecting Wojciech Sobczuk, a Polish seminarian accused of multiple homosexual assaults. Stika admitted to having a close relationship with the man, who regularly stayed in Stika's house.

In addition, Stika has a strange personality, becoming famous for his contradictory posts on Twitter where he has written both, for and against celibacy.

He has denied fundamental Catholic truths ("Mass ist not the worship of Jesus").

On the other hand, he received PiusX and attacked Vatican II for destroying the Church.

On his 2019 Christmas cards he presented himself with retired Cardinal Rigali, both dressed as laymen, and three dogs.

My thoughts exactly, gentlemen. Few if any bishops match Strickland, but Stika types are easy to find.

Good riddance. One Francis clone gone, unfortunately to be replaced probably by another. Also very odd that former Philadelphia Archbishop Cardinal Justin Rigali lives with him. The Cardinal Archbishops of Philadelphia used to die in office, or when retired, live quietly at the Cardinal's mansion.
