Cardinal Marx: Leo XIV Could Abolish Celibacy
Cardinal Reinhard Marx of Munich, Germany, believes that Pope Leo XIV may relax priestly celibacy.
In an interview with the newspaper 'Münchner Merkur' (12 July), he asked, "Do we have to restrict the priesthood to celibate men? Do we really recognise all the vocations that God gives us? Or are we blocking ourselves here?"
Cardinal Marx said that the door to this discussion is not closed: "I don't believe that Pope Leo is completely set in his ways. He has valuable experience, particularly from Latin America."

Consecrated a bishop by Wojtyla. Created a Cardinal by Ratzinger. Wake up folks and smell the toxicity. The present unparalleled crisis was created by these two papal "conservative heroes." Marx and his ilk rose in the ecclesiastical ranks because they fulfilled the sine qua non for advancement in the John Paul II and Benedict XVI papacies (35 years!!!): unabashed supporters of Vatican II and the revolution it unleashed (Wojtyla and Ratzinger being in the forefront of the Revolutionaries).
@yuca2111 And why do you ignore my main point? Stop bring a little girl over Wojtyla nd Ratzinger.
@Simon North Of course. They have risen from the dead. And their legacy still bears fruit. (And yes, you are right, they were not able to stop the infiltration of Satan. No one could have stopped that).
Marx is like a malfunctioning Chatty Cathy doll; pull the string and it says the same message over and over again. How good priests remain sidelined, or worse, and this heretical fellow retains his 'princehood' is beyond me.
Of course, in the anti-church, anything is possible. That's why we know Prevost leads a sect because it's dominated by the vice and heresy that the Church Fathers described as the gates of Hell.
