Take heart @Tony M : "our Church" will live on and on, as long as there are good faithfuls safeguarding It, even if just in their hearts and mind. She has survived for millennia; 'they', however.... for the short or for the long...have their years counted- as the Lord wills it. The Catholic Church will live forever because It is God's Church, not the 'sauerkraut Germans'.....nor other groups like them.
As long as the money keeps flowing in their direction, everything is a workable compromise to them
