Lying and Cheating: How the Vatican and the Archdiocese Destroyed the Philadelphia Carmel

PhiladelphiaCarmelites.org reports how the Vatican, the Archdiocese of Philadelphia and a modernist association of Carmelite nuns hijacked Philadelphia Carmel.

- 2017: Philadelphia Carmel is dying out. Archbishop Chaput, 78, invites Roman Rite Carmelites from Nebraska to take it over.

- January 2020: Archbishop Perez replaces Archbishop Chaput.

- April 2021: The Roman Rite Carmelite Sisters unexpectedly return to their former community. Mother Pia, the last Philadelphia Carmelite (since 1964), stays.

- 2021: Francis' document Cor Orans (2018) is used to close Philadelphia Carmel.

- June 2021: The Nebraska Carmelites announce that Archbishop Perez has not kept the promise concerning the community's [forced] membership in the St. Joseph Association, a modernist group of Carmelites that exercises authority over Philadelphia Carmel.
- 2021: Mother Pia finds Carmelite nuns willing and able to come to Philadelphia, but Auxiliary Bishop Michael Fitzgerald vehemently urges her to cease her efforts.

- Archbishop Perez ("Synodality Church") refuses to meet with Mother Pia.

- Mother Pia wants to transfer the property to a non-profit organisation to preserve its religious use and eventually resume Carmelite life.

- She chooses a cautious approach, believing that the Archbishop is of good will and able to be persuaded.

- But the archdiocese pulls the wool over Mother Pia's eyes and persuades her to leave the convent and spend her old days near her good friend, Father John Mary, chaplain of the Carmelite Order in Lake Elmo, Minnesota.

- Archbishop Perez assures her that her stay in Lake Elmo does not mean that she has given up Philadelphia and therefore still has control of the building.

- January 2022: Mother Pia leaves Philadelphia.

- February 2022: Rome abolishes the Carmel, calling it "abandoned" and extinct because there are "no surviving members". Had the decree of abolition - for which Mother Pia waited for months - come while she was living in the monastery, she would have had a say over the building.

- Mother Pia feels deceived and wants to appeal the suppression, but the Saint Joseph Association tells her not to appeal and promises to give her what she is entitled to.

- The association is given complete control over the properties.

- Late summer 2022: The association allies with Perez and breaks its promises.

- The main gates of the Carmel are permanently locked to prevent anyone from entering or praying on the premises.

- Recently the keys were handed over to the association, which changed the locks.

- Now the sale of the Carmel is expected.

There will be a Rosary Rally this Sunday, Dec 18th, at 3 pm at the Carmelite Monastery in Philadelphia (1400 66th Avenue) for the preservation and defense of this Carmel monastery that it may be preserved for "continued Catholic use."

Hooray for traditional Catholics! I hope they come to the rescue of this wonderful Carmel. My suggestion, group together supporters of the Carmel, and purchase it outright. Then welcome traditional/traditionalist Carmelite nuns to restore/re-populate the Carmel. It would be independant of the corrupt Archdiocese of Philadelphia, and of the filth Vatican of Pope Francis.

Better yet, go after Gordo. "The fish stinks from the top."

Bergoglio, since Vatican funds are drying up faster than ever, needed the $$ so this was sold.
Yet he still is breathing, walking around the Vatican with Joe Biden's version of Depends.

Incredible, the closure of a venerable Carmelite monastery in Philly by the devious archdiocese.

Update on the Carmel in Philadelphia: The Vatican-aligned and Cor Orans-implementing St. Joseph Association changed the locks on most of the property

Prayer, sanctity, and sacrifice drive the new order hierarchy nuts. Be holy and make them suffer! There's nothing they can do to stop it!! 🙏

I posted earlier somewhere here that the nuns should have employed rotating well aimed speeding projectiles at these out of shape louses, perhaps even to the point pf drawing blood. These abuses are not going to end peacefully, I am sorry to say.

The end of Bergoglio might bring an end to all this. If they elect another Francis, their "church" will no longer be the Catholic Church. We will be the Catholic Church, and the Carmelites and all faithful groups and Orders, and even the sedevacantist groups and SSPX. We should group together, and consider the "Vatican II" "church" the way the Roman Catholic Church treated and thought of Protestants before the heresy of Vatican II.
Our neighbor, whose name is Maude, is 96 and still goes for walks around our block with her dog, Her parents were from Ireland. She told us she remembers a time when as a Catholic schoolgirl of 10, she was taught by the Sisters of Mercy not even to look at a Protestant "church" if they walk past one, and to say a "Hail Mary" for the Church in its battle against such heresy. Not today. The Church since Vatican II is heresy like Protestants, especially since Bergoglio took center stage. But not for long we hope.

From the prophecies given to Mother Mariana de Jesus in the apparitions from Our Lady of Good Success in Ecuador during the close of the 16th century and the early 17th century about our times:
The Devil will try to persecute the ministers of the Lord in every possible way; he will labor with cruel and subtle astuteness to deviate them from the spirit of their vocation and will corrupt many of them.... The secular clergy will leave much to be desired because priests [and bishops] will become careless in their sacred duties. Lacking the divine compass, they will stray from the road traced by God for the priestly ministry, and they will become attached to wealth and riches, which they will unduly strive to attain. How the Church will suffer during this dark night! Lacking a prelate and a father to guide them ....

I watched Cardinal Burke today. (Pontifical High Mass) Watched the Glorious Mass, in honor of Our Lady in Advent. EWTN Livestream. Packed Church. Pious souls lined up for communion etc.
To think Bishops conspire against the Faith to take this away from the flock. 😭😭😤🙏

Yes ..Thank you Gloria.TV

Yes, Thank You Gloria.TV for exposing this rot. Proves the evil of Bergoglio and company, even in Philly.

Perez is scum. So is Auxiliary Bishop Fitzgerald. They are both Vatican II garbage. Perez also forced the administrators of St. Charles Borromeo Seminary to sell it to Main Line Health, Inc. (a huge Philly Health network of offices and Hospitals), because the enrollment was low (at the time, about 150), today since Perez, about 120.
Perez is a robot of Pope Francis. He will never be a Cardinal. There is really nothing left of the Archdiocese to be Cardinal....or even Archbishop of. Below are the stats of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, pre-Vatican II, and now (1961-62 vs 2022)
Total Priests(1961-62) 1,711 (diosecean) 2022- 662
