Leo XIV Received Archbishop Georg Gänswein

Pope Leo XIV received Archbishop Georg Gänswein in a private audience on Friday, the Vatican Press Office said.
Monsignor Gänswein, a German archbishop, currently serves as Apostolic Nuncio to the Baltic states.
The meeting was Gänswein’s first with Pope Leo XIV since the Pope’s election in May.
Formerly the personal secretary of Pope Benedict XVI, Gänswein was in Rome the previous evening for the presentation of a book titled God Is the True Reality, featuring previously unpublished homilies by Benedict XVI. The book has been released in Italian, with a German edition in preparation.
No details were given about the content of the papal audience.
