Francis, “I Am sick”

Francis is suffering from a severe cold, the Vatican confirmed on February 23.

At a morning audience for Byzantine priests and monks, he did not read his prepared address but handed it to the participants.

“I cannot read it because I am ill and have a severe cold that prevents me from speaking,” Francis explained.

On Ash Wednesday, he repeatedly interrupted his homily because of a cough.

Is he better already? 🤒

@Kenjiro M. Yoshimori Why do you ask that?

Because I have not read/heard anything today.

John Fritz Logan

@Kenjiro M. Yoshimori Exactly, he did not appear on any livestream. He allegedly met with some groups and said things but no recording or video. Not talk off a quick recovery.
He might recover though. John Paul II recovered and left the hospital in february 2005. He them died in less than 2 months.

Yes, I remember that. My family and I were in Rome in 2004 when my Dad was appointed to oversee/supervise a big Pharma project for his company in Rome, and he thought it would be fun to bring us to Rome for a few weeks. JPII was doing pretty badly even then when we saw him for a general audience (May, 2024). He was unintelligible when speaking. Of course, I was only 9, ( my sisters, the youngest was 6) but I do remember him not looking well, and pushed in his white chair (which was a wheelchair of sorts, but looked much more comfortable).
If it's only a cold, that's no big deal even at his age if he's basically ok otherwise.
Reading about JPII and his last days, what I find amazing is that he never once complained, or was nasty to people even when feeling ill.
From what I read about Bergoglio, he's nasty to VAtican staff members, even Cardinals, when he's well, so he's probably douubly mean when he's sick.
Now I don't want to come back here to this post etc. and read that someone says that I wish Bergoglio ill, or I wish he was dead, or that I hate him etc. I didn't post anything like that at all. They can read into it whatever they want....but I didn't say it!😂😂😂🥴

Correction for the above post---that's May, 2004 (not 2024 of course), and when I posted this- "If it's only a cold, that's no big deal even at his age if he's basically ok otherwise." I am referring to Bergoglio, not Pope John Paul II.

Sally Dorman shares this

The Vatican said Thursday that Pope Francis is suffering from a heavy cold.

I wonder how many boosters he’s had.

LATEST FROM THE VATICAN; "Pope Francis cancels speeches and appointments due to bad cold" He's likely to be sick for a few days at least.

And I also am sick....of Jorge Bergoglio!!!

Is the Vatican trying to prevent more heretical videos?

Or maybe he didn't want to read the prepared (by someone else) remarks because they were too Catholic? 🤔 It's noticeable that he perks up and rallies to the task when the subject is to his liking.

"I cannot read it because I am ill and have a severe cold " Sorry if maybe I read too much into what Francis said, but it sounds to me that he is admitting 1). That he is ill, and 2). That he also has a cold. I'm not trying to be gleeful, but if someone had a cold, they say "I have a cold...", not "I am ill and have a severe cold". Correct me if I'm wrong, but to me, Francis is admitting he is ill (which everyone knows anyway), AND IN ADDITION, he has a cold.

You really need to pipe down with all of your vile, diabolical “death wish” fantasies for Pope Francis. They have grown tiring, to say the least, and reveal, with your abnormal and highly irrational obsession with the subject, a degeneracy in your mental state, bordering on the pathological. You want the Holy Father dead as soon as possible…we get that. Now stop ranting insanely about it like a teenage boy seeing porn for the first time. Especially since you CLEARLY have no care whatsoever regarding the state of your soul, in that you rejoice in your own damnation by blasphemously and lustfully desiring the imminent death of the Vicar of Christ on Earth. It is profoundly and intrinsically EVIL.

I didn't wish him dead, did I? No. I didn't wish him bad luck did I? No. I simply said that I thought it was odd that Pope Francis would say, "I am ill, and I have a severe cold". That sounds like 2 illnesses, not one. THat's all I said. To me, it sounded like an admission that he is ill anyway.....wich everyone who reads knows. And sorry, I may not be far out from my teens, but I'm not a papalotrist either. I don't wish him dead, or seriously ill, so I resent your accusations or labeling me a mental degenerate. I just think he has an underlying problem which maybe he finally admitted to.
Lastly, I have read way worse from other contributors than what I post about Pope Francis. A few people actually posted that they wish people would kill him. I'm first to admit that's bad.
The only people I can think of who are mental degenerates who have no concern for their souls are those who promote the "Synodal Way", and are open to allowing for acceptance of homosexuals etc., as if they were normal people and who try to promote that attitude in the Church.
True, I have no liking for Pope Francis, or his agenda, or his appointees. But I did not wish ill on him, or suffering, or death.
And he is not the "Vicar of Christ" on earth, because he renounced that title himself.🤪🥱

@SonoftheChurch I don't think this harsh response was called for. He is hoping for a new conclave to restore the Papacy. That's something Cardinal Pell was planning for.
Is Francis the Vicar of Christ or an anti-Pope?
The only real mistake I see from Kenjiro is him being to open to the Eastern schismatics.

@John Fritz Logan -Thank you very much! Yes, I am hoping for a new conclave to restore the Papacy and the Church, and apparently from what I read yesterday on a post, so do over half the Cardinals in the Sacred College, and many bishops in the Vatican. They are all fed up with Francis and his agenda.....like most faithful Catholics are.

El Gordo: I am ill and I am morbidly obese. Eat up. Cheers!

Salvatore Bastatti

SonoftheChurch: Christ said of Judas, "It would have been better had this man never been born." (Mt. 26:24). Gordo Bergoglio, who told us Christ did not recite His prayer to the Father correctly, is an offshoot of Judas Iscariot, who had the good sense to hang himself.

I wouldn't go as far as Son of the Church in my comment, but I do feel that readers are more than familiar with your sentiments about Pope Francis, and so to comment on his every appearance may be harming your soul rather than edifying the Church. It is trying for us to wait out what this very painful time in the Church's history, but we must patiently and charitably do our best.
