"We ask for prayers for Bishop Tissier de Mallerais.
On Saturday morning, September 28, after the Angelus, he fell on the stairs of the priestly seminary of Ecône and lost consciousness. He is currently ihospitalized.
He suffered a skull fracture with internal bleeding, but his condition has stabilized.
He is gradually coming out of the induced coma in which he was placed, and his prognosis is no longer life-threatening.
Although he is still unable to communicate, he is responding quite encouragingly to medical requests.
Further tests are underway to determine the extent of the damage. The hospital staff is optimistic, but his condition remains serious, and the outcome of the trauma is uncertain.
