Archbishop: Francis Will NEVER Visit Argentina
As a result, Francis has decided to enter "the dirty field of political debates", attacking President Milei's government in a speech ("Buy social justice instead of pepper spray").
The main source of Francis' speech, as on other occasions, was the message sent to him by his friend Juan Grabois, writes Aguer.
He notes that Francis did not say a word against the governments of Cristina Kirchner, which have plunged the country into poverty and misery, nor did he react to "the worst government in history: that of the useless Alberto Fernández, the hypocrite who boasted of being a feminist and beat his wife".
The journalist Luciano Román described the papal speech as "an overly earthy message that could be interpreted as being far removed from some of the balance, complexity and nuance that usually characterise the words of great religious leaders".
Moreover, Francis' support for social organisations does not include a call for transparency and respect for the law, notes Monsignor Aguer.
He reminds Francis that "Argentine Catholics need him to behave like a Pope, taking care of the Catholic religion and leading the faithful to grow in the faith", but that he should abstain from entering the confusing territory of political discussion.
