Priest Burned Alive

Father Isaac Achi was burnt to death Sunday by bandits attacking his presbytery at Kafin-Koro, Minna Diocese, Nigeria, Sunnewsonline.com reports.

After an hour of fruitless attempts to force their way into the priest’s house, the criminals set it ablaze with petrol.

The deceased put a distress call to a family member who alerted the police. The assistant priest sustained gun shot wounds while trying to escape from the fire. He was rushed to the hospital.

Father Achi survived a December 2011 bombing of Saint Theresa Church, Madella, and in 2013 escaped a kidnap attempt.
