HOW TO AVOID MORTAL SIN?
Three main ways lead the soul to mortal sin, namely the sins of flash.
The first one is gluttony, which is opposed by temperance and fasting. If one does not fight against this vice, one can easily fall into sloth and forsake their spiritual duties.
The second one is Sloth.
Gluttony and sloth go side by side. They are, so to speak, the closest friends. Idleness is opposed by diligence alone.
The third capital sin that can lead us to commit mortal sin is poor, insufficient prayer. It’s a direct consequence of the following sins, and diligence and ardent love of Jesus Christ are opposed to this.
Now, let’s see how a devout soul can remove those spiritual stumbling blocks to live in sanctifying grace.
