I thought you were going to say he was "ultraviolet"! I don't know, I think it's just the way the camera rendered the coloring. Maybe I will put the other photo back up.

In truth, I didn't think of our former pontiff as "UV" because... well... high quality ultraviolet lighting often appears as a deep, deep blue on video and everything capable of doing so fluoresces into "Day-Glo" colours, including you!

Most laundry detergents contain UV-based optical brighteners. Depending on the specific additives, your white collar would be a retina-searing shade of blue-white that calls to mind the Lord's famous warning in Exodus 33:20. Either that, or blue. A shade of blue so deep and so intense and so sublime, I like to imagine it's reserved for the Queen of Heaven.
