At the Norwich Catholic Cathedral of St. John the Baptist, they have a picture and expansion of the tradesmen who built the cathedral. The picture shows what those tradesmen wore in the late 1800s on the "job site". A godfather of one of my kids shows the picture to his, and other kids, to prove just this point. The picture shows what those tradesmen wore in the late 1800s on the "job site". A godfather of one of my kids shows the picture to his, and other kids, to prove just this point. Back then masons, blacksmiths, stained glass workers all wore a suit to work. Now, we're lucky not to see a boy's/man's shoulder tattoo, and even luckier if we go through the day without seeing yoga pants.
