The Catholic Church in Korea has for a long been trying to get capital punishment abolished even though the country has not carried out an execution since 1997. This latest petition from the church in So. Korea coincides with Pope Francis' plea to end the death penalty. I would like to know if the latest appeal from Bishop Lazarus You Heung-sik of So. Korea and the Pope also includes the execution of unborn babies? And, if it does, why not emphatically stress the importance of eliminating abortion especially since South Korea has the highest abortion rate in the world. Nearly half of all pregnancies end in abortion. Each year, almost as many Korean children are aborted as are allowed to see the light of day.
The sheer dimensions of this South Korean abortion holocaust are stunning. Pope Francis doesn't talk about abortion that often but he's quick to go full bore leftist politician on important "biblical" issues like the death penalty, climate change, Donald Trump, and making sure that gays feel good about their sins.
