Peter, you need to realise that what is in Rome is not Catholic church, but end-times counterchurch, the Whore of Babylon. See the website which I recommended, stay around it and study it, and also pray Holy Rosary. Also claimants to the papacy after Vatican II council were antipopes, so they are not saints.

To be canonised saint, it does not simply mean someone is in heaven, it also means that the person lived virtuous life and contributed towards salvation of souls.
