It is his first time in the Eternal City since 2017.
Pell had returned to Australia to face a mock trial which sent him innocent to prison for 13 months until he was acquitted by Australia’s High Court in April.

What a testament, that the fellow jailmates... the very REASON he spent all but one hour a day in solitary confinement in the first prison...rang out with cheers when his "not guilty" plea was read over television.
