“We see how the power of Antichrist is expanding, and we can only pray the Lord will give us strong shepherds who will defend His Church in this hour of need from the power of evil.” (Benedict XVI, letter to Slovak politician Vladimir Palko, 2015)
Pope Benedict XVI helped the work of the anti-Christ. He was a (conservative) modernist destroyer of the faith.
@All Saints It may be Pope St Pius X. That is his private Chapel.

The depressingly SAD part about this particular quote from the Pope Emeritus is that he himself was not proven to be one of those “strong shepherds” requested of the Lord in our hour of need. Quite the contrary, in stark, absolute fulfillment of the dire, self-condemning prophecy uttered out of his own lips, he ran cowardly from the rabid, ravenous wolves who sought to rend and ravish the Church, abandoning his post and the sheep divinely entrusted into his care. He was instead, used and abused as an instrument of the very evil whose presence and power he decried in this letter.
He was always a Hegelian, as was reflected always in his Pontificate. His was "split the difference" theology, policy and governance. His supporters can howl and stomp their feet all thy want. It won't change the fact that that his thinking reflected the very relativism that he condemned. He was exactly the opposite of St. Paul's "certain trumpet."
Wow. He said that after resigning.
That looks to be Pius Xll in that photo.
@canonist It's probably Pope St Pius X as it's his Private Chapel.
