Archbishop Giacomo Morandi of Reggio Emilia, 58, was elected on Monday as the new president of the bishops' conference of Emilia-Romagna, a region in northern Italy. He will replace Cardinal Matteo Zuppi of Bologna, a close ally of Francis, who didn't stand for a second term.
The interesting detail: Monsignor Morandi is a former Vatican official. He was removed by Francis from his post as secretary of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith in 2022 because he opposed Francis' ideas on issues such as the fight against the Roman rite.

Time to call an Imperfect Council to deal with this.....the most destructive heretic in the history of the Church. It can be done right now. But it would seem they have all put it in the too hard basket, and continue to feed us all the excuses they can think of, to justify their culpable inaction.
