Synodality hahaha: The Great Dictator Takes Over the Order Of Malta
Francis has decreed on September 3 a new constitution and a "provisional" leadership of the [formerly] Sovereign Order of Malta.
In the decree, Francis turns his familiar bag of tricks by blubbering that the order is "sovereign" and "religious" and both qualities are "intimately connected," only to conclude that “being a religious order, it depends, in its different articulations, on the Holy See” - meaning that "sovereignty" is gone.
As a result, Francis dismissed his friend Albrecht von Boeselager, the Grand Chancellor, dissolved the order’s Sovereign Council, and installed a "provisional" [= for ever] Council with all members appointed by him without the shadow of a "synodality." All Germans in the Order's leadership are gone.
Francis' delegate Cardinal Tomasi and Lieutenant John Dunlap remain in office. Francis has called an extraordinary General Chapter for 25 January 2023. The outcome will be dictated by Francis to Tomasi, Dunlap and the council.
Only in January 2022, Tomasi lied that "it was never Francis' intention to undermine the Order's sovereignty which will be fully preserved.” One can only believe bad politicians when they deny something.
The Order cheered in a statement that Francis’ actions demonstrate "care," "thoroughness," and "the great love the Pontiff has for our Order.” This slimy text was probably also written by Francis.
