Mexico Cardinal Carlos Aguiar Retes reflected during a live-streamed April 26 Eucharist from the Basilica of Guadalupe on how we react to the apostasy of so many Catholics from the faith.
Predictably, his answer consisted in repeating Francis mantras: “the pedagogy of accompanying,” “solidarity and mercy to all,” “offering the word of God and not moralistic and rigorous interpretations,” “outgoing and inculturated Church.”
These mantras were not invented by Francis but have accompanied the downfall of the Catholic Church.
Needless to say, that the Protestant sects who inherit the Catholic Church in Latin America do not follow them.
