Francis: Swollen Lips

During today’s Angelus, Francis was seen with swollen lips, particularly the upper lip, IlSismografo.Blogspot.com (December 26) writes.

The cameras avoided close-ups. For the moment, the reasons for this swelling are unknown.

Angioedema is a swelling that may affect the lips. It develops below the skin's surface either suddenly or gradually over a few hours. It normally lasts a few days.

Found this post, why would they post a post on Pope Francis as being killed? Is it satire or other? Bad language alert.

It would not be surprising that it is the consequence of his horrible blasphemy against the Mother of God (December 1, general audience) to whom he implied that she was a prostitute (attacking in passing the divine nature of Christ, making of the Gospel a pamphlet invented by a madman, of the Church a farce and of the martyrs and saints, fools). Perhaps an angel avenged the Virgin by punching him in his dragon's mouth. And above all, if Bergoglio believes that the Catholic faith is a fallacy, he should run away from the Petrine See, although he will not do it because his work is to hinder the Work of Salvation insofar as he is granted it.

If no one has stood up to him after those remarks, then there is nothing left of the Roman Catholic Church, EXCEPT in the SSPX, and other traditionalist Catholic groups and organizations of the faithful, even sede-vacantist traditional groups....and they are correct too, because the See of Peter IS vacant, with an imposer posing as "the Pope". If Bergoglio actually did imply what eva333 stated, he should very much worry about the state of his soul, for his death is approaching very fast.

eva333: I am no fan of pope Francis, but in this case you are incorrect about his comments in the Dec 1st general audience. He was referring to a gospel passage in which the Jewish Elders, trying to slander Jesus' reputation made a comment inferring that Jesus' birth was due to prostitution. The pope then said that that he was saddened by this most evil passage in the bible. So the pope was, in …More

He was referring to a gospel passage in which the Jewish Elders, trying to slander Jesus' reputation made a comment inferring that Jesus' birth was due to prostitution. The pope then said that that he was saddened by this most evil passage in the bible. So the pope was, in that case, defending the Catholic teaching about the Virgin Birth. Hope this clarifies the issue for you.

You can't photoshop that. Bergoglio has a problem. Maybe a serious one. A British reporter accidentally reported Francis as having died, then corrected herself in seconds. Too bad it wasn't true.....but she's probably looking for another job now.

A likely explanation is probably an allergic reaction to something, or he fell, etc.

If he fell I would think you would see facial bruising.

And he's in such GREAT health!!! HAHAHAHAHA! Could be a reaction from some anti-inflammatory drug for his chronic bowel disorder he was operated on for, or even reaction to chemo. Probably illness or drug induced. Yes, his whole face looks swollen. Conclave in a few months? Probably illness or drug induced. Yes, his whole face looks swollen. Conclave in a few months? Don't mean to be cruel, but his reputation and actions preclude the possibility of me (and millions of other faithful Catholics), of being overly concerned, worried, or even caring about the "Holy Father". I don't wish him ill, but I'll bet he is, and much more so that anyone lets on.
