Cardinal Roche, "Your Excellency Has No Authority To Allow Mass In Parish Churches"

In the name of "synodality", Francis is imposing a Roman centralism unprecedented in the history of the Church.

Last example: Cardinal Roche, the prefect for the liturgy, is telling parishes how to organise their schedule.

Peter Kwasniewski published on February 6 the transcript of a letter, that Roche sent to a US bishop invoking Canon 87 to grant a dispensation from Traditionis custodes in order to continue celebrating Mass in a parish church.

However, Roche claimed that the bishop did "not have the authority" to do so. He believes that it is his decision whether a parish church is used for Mass and whether a priest ordained after 16 July 2021 may celebrate Mass.

Roche accuses the bishop of a "defect" and "requests" him to petition for a dispensation [that will not be granted] and to provide information about the number of faithful and the strategy to lure them into the [failed] Novus Ordo.

It seems that Roche doesn't know that he has no authority to interfere in the daily life of a parish. Moreover, Francis keeps - telling us not to be legalistic, and to go beyond canon law.

He must have been made fun of back in his figure skating days. He’s probably just getting back a everyone.

THERE WILL BE UNBELIEVABLE FUMIGATION WHEN A NEW POPE IS ELECTED....HARDLY THE TYPE OF MAN THE LIBERALS WANT TO SUCCEED FRANCIS. HE WILL BE THE TOTAL OPPOSITE OF FRANCIS, AND YOUNG ENOUGH TO CLEAN UP THE VATICAN, AND CLEAN HOUSE IN THE CHURCH. CATHOLIC TRADITION WILL BE VINDICATED, AND THE FRANCIS AGENDA WILL BE TRASHED TOTALLY.

The current Church is infested with Roches. Time for some spiritual fumigation.

Here is the letter, the bishop wrote to the parish priest

@Wilma Lopez Completely illegal intimidation or pestering. Can and should be ignored. I doubt he'd even dare to do this with certain bishops.

Abolish the Novus Ordo!

Yes, everyone protest and stop going to the Novus Ordo

Time for a quote from the Apostolic Constitution, "Quo Primum" regarding changes to the ancient mass:
"Would anyone, however, presume to commit such an act, he should know that he will incur the wrath of Almighty God and of the Blessed Apostles Peter and Paul."
I hope this parish priest chooses Christ, Pius V, and the full weight of the Magisterium over the dupe posing as his bishop.More

Curious to see how the wrath of Almighty God and Sts. Peter and Paul manifests. It could get extremely ugly.

Insight into how the Roman Mass will be further suppressed in diocesan situations. Summary: Rome will not allow Bishops to dispense their priests from the provisions of Traditiones Custodes, and secondly, they will not allow Priests to...

They don't need the Bishop's permission, they never did.

Furthermore, no priest requires their Bishop's "authorization" to say the EF of the Mass. Any priest can do it.

There is no legal basis for Roche's claims. He simply misrepresents if not outrights flaunts canon law!
Bishops can and should ignore it! Questions is whether, IF the rumoured aposttolic constitution restricting the Tridentine mass comes out, canon 87 can still be used against that as well.More

@John Fritz Logan I checked, seems the apostolic constitution would have to specifically reserve such dispensation to the apostolic see. I wonder how many bishops would reject such a restrictions as illegitimate (and hypocritical).
Kenjiro M. Yoshimori
All these bishops should just stand up to Francis and Roche and all the homo advisors at the Vatican, and as Francis so eloquently said during his trip to the Congo about the "middle finger", give it to them all, then ignore them and proceed allowing for the Roman Rite Latin Mass.
I hope any further restrictions of the Roman Rite by Francis causes a MASSIVE defection from the Novus Ordo.
Bonnie Louise
Beautifully stated, using his own words against him.

Therefore, any priest with faculties has a right to use the traditional Mass and sacraments without seeking any permission from any prelate. The Mass and sacraments are not the property of a Pope or Bishops that they can do with whatever they want. They belong to the whole Church, the people of God, and are given to us by God for our salvation.
