740: Pope Francis calls Latin Mass Leaders to Rome: FSSP and ICKSP will by loyalty tested [Podcast]
The “Ecclesia Dei” communities or priestly societies attached the 1962 Latin Mass are being summoned to Rome in September. This would include the FSSP (Fraternity of St Peter), ICKSP (Institute of Christ the King), and IBP (Institute of the Good Shepherd). This has traditionalists concerned about what could be next after devastating Motu Proprio Traditionis Custodes. Will these societies/institutes be restricted or asked to celebrate a “new Missal”, new calendar, or required to concelebrate? Dr. Taylor Marshall comments.

These alleged "Latin Mass Leaders" are in fact backers of the Novus Ordo revolution supporting indult fables of Wojtyla, Ratzinger and Bergoglio.

Serious question – if a priest were to bless an unholy act, would he be bringing a curse upon himself?
God the Father is very clear in the Dialogue of St. Catherine of Siena about this particular sin and the standard to which He holds His priests.
I needed some time to think about this and to consult.
First, the reference to the Dialogue, above. Reminder: I wrote about that HERE. In a nutshell, St. Catherine, Doctor and Patroness of Europe and of Italy, in her her Dialogues (ch 124), writes that the Enemy, demons, incite people to unnatural sins (homosexual acts) but that they don’t stick around to see them happen, because those acts are …

People who have read me for a long time know that the World has never held much of an allure. I’ve spent my life on a search for the metaphorical Door to Narnia, a way to get away from it.
I talked a lot, when I moved in 2014 to Norcia and became a Benedictine Oblate, about having found at least the threshold of that door. From Norcia, I could at least see the Enchanted Realm.
And when the earthquake came, it was a loss I could hardly bear. And it left me, I thought, with nothing I wanted in this life.

"The prohibition of the traditional Latin Mass is an abuse of ecclesiastical power and noncompliance with its prohibition does not in fact constitute disobedience"

The following statement by Bishop Athanasius Schneider is being published in numerous places today.
The prohibition of the traditional Latin Mass is an abuse of ecclesiastical power and noncompliance with its prohibition does not in fact constitute disobedience1. The traditional Roman liturgy of the Mass was the liturgy of our Catholic ancestors. It was the form of the Mass with which most of the European nations (except some Eastern European countries and the Ambrosian and Mozarabic rites), all American nations, and most of the African, Asian, and Oceanian nations were evangelized.
2. “What earlier generations held as sacred, remains sacred and great for us too” (Pope Benedict XVI).
3. “The problem with the new Missal lies in its abandonment of an ever-continuous history, before and after St. Pius V, and in the creation of a thoroughly new book (albeit compiled of old material)” (Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger).
4. The new Missal’s “publication was accompanied by a kind of prohibition of …

An abuse of ecclesiastical power is not a problem. Abuses happen. The problem begins when such an abuse becomes... a heroic virtue. Cf. Paul VI the Abuser and John Paul II the Abuser called by some diabolical mockery... the Saints!

"Conceived by an unscrupulous politician": Caminante Wanderer on the Synod and Its "Instrumentum Doloris"
Pope in the Paul VI hall, where the Synod will be held
Last week, the Instrumentum laboris of the Synod on Synodality, which will take place over the course of two years, beginning this October 4, was made public. The Catholic media have already published several analyses of the very long document. I recommend this post from the Missa in Latino blog where you can find links to several of them (in Italian). It is not a question, then, of repeating what has already been said, and well said, but we can propose some additional reflections.

Gay Pride Launches Economic Warfare On Catholic Father Of Five

Long before the left invented “pride month,” the Catholic Church dedicated June to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, a tradition originating from the 17th-century visions of Christ received by French nun St. Margaret Mary Alacoque. Enter Ross McKnight, a Louisiana Catholic father of five and owner of Backwater Foie Gras, whose business is now under attack after he made an Instagram post on Sunday commemorating the Sacred Heart of Jesus that provided his followers with ways they can protect themselves from “false pride” and counter the “attempted coup of the month of June.”
McKnight’s post was fairly innocuous, encouraging his followers to adhere to the traditional liturgical calendar — instead of the new secular one — and to hold onto their French Catholic identity by “enthron[ing] the Sacred Heart in your home this month,” “Wear[ing] the Sacred Heart as a badge wherever you go,” “Pray[ing] the Rosary” in French, and reading his blog post titled, “This Tremendous Weight.”
“The push …

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (

On June 8, in the U.S. District Court of Rhode Island, Fr. James Jackson, a member of the traditionalist Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter (FSSP), pled guilty to receipt of child pornography. This came during a hearing before Judge William Smith, where Jackson changed his initial plea of not guilty, entered Dec. 21, 2021, to guilty.
He faces a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison, with a mandatory minimum of five years, a fine of $250,000 and supervised release of five years to life, among other things.

Church Reasons to Condemn the Divine Mercy Devotion by Msgr. Patrick Perez

Several readers have addressed questions to TIA asking orientation about the Divine Mercy devotion. Since we knew Msgr. Perez had addressed the topic some months ago, we invited him to write an article about it for our website. Since he is busy with many pastoral duties and unable to write, he sent us both the tape and text of that sermon (April 21, 2013) for us to edit and post at our convenience.
We transferred its spoken language to written language and inserted title and subtitles. Although it is a long article, we thought it would be better to offer it to our readers in a single piece, rather than to break it into several articles. TIA
My dear faithful, today I want to say a few words about the Divine Mercy devotion. I receive many questions about this subject every year and now I want to address the topic. As a source reference I am using principally an issue of The Angelus magazine (June 2010). This research comes from Fr. Peter Scott. Since he provided most of what I needed …

St. Augustine says the devil deceives men in two ways: by despair and by hope. After the sinner has sinned, the devil tempts him to despair through terror of the Divine justice. Before he sinned, he encouraged him to it by the hope of Divine mercy. Therefore does the Saint give this counsel: After sin, hope for mercy: before sin, fear Judgment.

Devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus IS devotion to God's mercy. Jesus' love for us is symbolized in His Sacred Heart. He loved us so much he died for us.

Little Boy Killed After 145-Pound Pit Bull Mix Attacked Him Without Warning, Wouldn't Let Go

News
A 2-year-old boy died after a 145-pound dog with whom he often played turned on the child and attacked him.
On her Facebook page, Kandi Bettis mourned the loss of her son, Blake.
The incident took place Tuesday in Brunswick, Maryland — about 40 miles northwest of Washington — in the home of the boy’s grandmother, Kim Russell, according to WUSA-TV.
The mastiff-pit bull mix had been with the family for five years, Russell said.
“This is just a complete shock,” she told the outlet, holding back tears. “I just have flashbacks. He was just an angel.”
Russell said the incident happened as a party for her birthday was ending. The dog grabbed the child and refused to let go, she said.
“We don’t know,” Tammy Crawford, the boy’s aunt, said, according to WTTG-TV. “He just attacked him, so. And the dog is very lovable too, so we just don’t know what happened.”
“It’s very heartbreaking, for him to be gone at such a young age. He was such a joy to be around. Very lovable kid. Loved …

Pitt Bulls were bred to be aggressive and to attack. It is a manipulated type of dog. Wolves can be bred to be domesticated submissive dogs in just 8 generations. The opposite is also true.

Two Children Killed in Pit Bull Mauling, Mother Severely Injured

Two small children were mauled to death by two pit bulls on Wednesday while their mother sustained severe injuries in attempting to pull the dogs off, according to the Shelby County Sheriff’s Department.
When authorities arrived at around 3:30 p.m. at the family home on the 700 block of Sylvan Road near Shelby Forest State Park in Tennessee, they found Lilly Jane, two, and Hollace Dean, five months old, dead on the scene.
Their mother, Kirstie Jane Bennard, 30, was found seriously wounded and was rushed by fire paramedics in critical condition to Regional One Health in Memphis.
Family member Jeff Gibson shared on Facebook that Kristi is currently in stable condition but with “an uncountable” number of stitches over her body and face, while her arms and legs are entirely bandaged up.
“As of now it looks like there isn’t any permanent damage other than a heart that will never heal,” Gibson added.
He also noted that the attack lasted approximately ten minutes.

No matter what, pit bulls , by nature, are not good pets

philosopher

Sad to hear this. Many of these fatal cases the pit bulls are either abused (used for dog fighting) or not well trained by their owners. I have a pit and she is a great dog. They bond with the owner for life and if you are attacked by a would be criminal they will literally give their life courageously defending you. And, I would hate to be that bad guy on the receiving end of things. They are strong and fierce but require a strong owner who will establish an alpha relationship. However, if they are properly trained and loved they are no more dangerous than any other breed of dog.
