So that guy was appointed as an extraordinary minister of the Eucharist? If not, perhaps the relative would be better off to make a spiritual communion than to encourage grandpa to sin so they can have a sacrilegious communion in a wheelchair?

The old man took the Host in his hand and walked away with Jesus still in his hand. That is completely wrong! We can blame him and ask why no one stopped him. I wonder how many people steal the Host for black masses and just walk away as this old man had done, unhindered, never stopped or even stalled...? He may not have had any evil intentions whatsoever, but what he did was definitely wrong! …More
The old man took the Host in his hand and walked away with Jesus still in his hand. That is completely wrong! We can blame him and ask why no one stopped him. I wonder how many people steal the Host for black masses and just walk away as this old man had done, unhindered, never stopped or even stalled...? He may not have had any evil intentions whatsoever, but what he did was definitely wrong! Someone needs to teach him. And for the record, it’s not okay to go get Holy Communion to pass along to your family members or relatives, even if they are in wheelchairs. This is not a cafeteria, for Heaven’s sake! That is Jesus!

And who are you that you can read the hearts of men? It many ‘SEEM” to you like he’s a good man but that could be the precise reason he was chosen to do this rather than someone who did not “seem to be a good man.”.

He did not do it with bad intention,
So you have said without solid evidence to prove if his intentions actually are good or bad. Perhaps he wanted to bring the host home with him so he could give part of it to Fluffy, his cat.

That man is NOT the priest and it is NOT OK for him to just take Jesus and carry Him in the Host to someone else in the crowd, whether there are people there in wheelchairs or not. If the priest wants to give Holy Communion to those who are disabled, that’s fine. However, that man, a non- priest and just someone coming up to receive, is NOT to just take it upon himself to deliver Jesus in the Host …More
