Bishop and Church Representatives Praise Blasphemous Exhibition in Vienna
The museum Künstlerhaus in Vienna, Austria, is presenting an exhibition titled “You Shall Make Yourself an Image.” It opened in late October 2025 and runs through 8 February 2026.
The exhibition features about 40 provocateurs (“artists”) mocking Christian imagery.
Catholic organizations and online petitions describe the exhibit as “blasphemous,” “insulting,” and as mocking key Christian symbols such as the crucifixion and imagery of the Virgin Mary.
Works criticized include:
- A wolf dressed in liturgical garments
- A crucified frog
- Portrayals of Mary as a trans woman or other provocative reinterpretations
The Austrian right-wing party FPÖ (Austrian Freedom Party) condemned the exhibition as “a scandalous mockery of Christianity” and demanded that it be shut down, especially since it runs during Advent and Christmas and receives public funding.
On Monday, a group of Catholics gathered outside the museum to protest the exhibition, including an act of penance prayer.
However, …More
A blasphemous exhibition mocking Christianity has opened at the Kunstlerhaus Museum for Christmas
They are sodomites, enemies of God and the Church. Their souls already belong to the devil, and they serve him.
This garbage belongs in the toilet. As Trump is changing fast, and in a few years, you will not recognize it, especially the growth of the anti-Catholic element.
Very sick artlessness or “art” in the service of deception.
In my experience "modern art" is almost always UGLY and designed to SHOCK - the very opposite of the classical definition of art uplifting the soul with Beauty.
To counter all those beautiful Churches there. Best to go to those. And there is no admission fee.
