Appena nominata arcivescovo di Canterbury, Sarah Mullally sta affrontando una serie di gravi accuse per la sua gestione di un caso di abuso quando era vescovo di Londra. Terminato questo processo, nell'aprile 2024 il Superiore Generale ha decretato per il P. Berríos, da un lato, il divieto di esercitare pubblicamente il ministero sacerdotale per un periodo di 10 anni; e dall'altro, la sua espulsione dalla Compagnia di Gesù.
Nel giugno dello stesso anno, il P. Berríos ha fatto appello contro la decisione davanti al Dicastero, che questo martedì è stato emesso annullando entrambi i decreti, in una decisione inappellabile.

The three gifts that the child Ratzinger asked for for Christmas
It was Christmas 1934, when he was just seven years old, that the future Pope Benedict XVI wrote a very special letter asking the Baby Jesus for three gifts.
Discovered in 2012 in the Ratzinger family home in Bavaria, the letter had been kept by the Pope's sister, Maria, who has since passed away. This precious document is now housed in the museum in the southeastern German town of Marktl am Inn.

His image is literally going around the world these days, as Pope Leo XIV is visiting the Annaya Monastery in Lebanon, during his first apostolic journey outside Italy.
Saint Charbel is known as the Lebanese "Padre Pio," venerated by the Maronite Church, the only Eastern Church to have always remained in communion with the Holy See.
Born on May 8, 1828, in Lebanon to a peasant family, at the age of 23 he entered the Maronite Order, becoming a monk at the monastery of Annaya, where he took the name Charbel in honor of an ancient Christian martyr.
After several years of community life, he decided to retreat into a hermit's life, living in complete solitude in a small cell near the monastery. Here he lived a life of complete austerity, prayer, fasting, and meditation, seeking a deep and intimate relationship with God.

Il primo elemento che salta all'occhio è la distinzione tra il Regolamento Generale della Curia Romana e il Regolamento dei Funzionari. Fino ad ora, un singolo documento mescolava norme amministrative con orientamenti lavorativi, creando un ibrido poco funzionale. Juman Al Qawasmi is the daughter of one of the founders of the Hamas terrorist group and the ex-wife of one of its leaders. Juman grew up being taught that her loyalty lay with the Hamas cause. She was taught to see Jews and Christians as enemies and as a religious threat.
"I was born and raised in Qatar. My father is one of the founders of Hamas. My parents encouraged us to hate Israel, Jews, Christians, even everyone who didn't belong to Hamas. We had to kill them, because that's what the Quran says."
