Two weeks after a teenage Muslim tried to stab Ma Mari Emmanuel, the bishop of a self-established community is back on stage.
Before the liturgy, the sanctuary of his church was covered with curtains. Then the curtains were opened and the man stood at the centre of the pulpit, expecting and receiving a standing ovation from his congregation as if in a concert hall.
"I stand for freedom of speech and freedom of religion," he said. Ma Mari Emmanuel supported Twitter.com against the Australian government's request to hide the video of the attack against him.

Speech by His Holiness Pope Pius XII to pilgrims gathered in Rome for the Canonization of Saint Louis-Marie Grignion de Montfort (July 21, 1947)

Welcome, dear sons and dear daughters, who have flocked in large numbers to witness the glorification of Louis-Marie Grignion de Montfort, the humble Breton priest of the century of Louis XIV, whose short life, surprisingly laborious and fruitful, but singularly tormented, misunderstood by some, exalted by others, placed it before the world “as a sign of contradiction”, “in signum, cui contradicetur” (Luke 2, 34). Reforming, without thinking about it, the appreciation of his contemporaries, posterity has made him popular, but, above all the verdict of men, the supreme authority of the Church has just awarded him the honors of the saints.
Hello first to you, pilgrims of Brittany and the coast of the Ocean. You claim it as yours and it is yours indeed. Breton by birth and by the education of his adolescence, he remained Breton in heart and temperament in Paris, in Poitou and in Vendée; he will remain so everywhere and to the end, even in his missionary hymns, where by a pious industry - …More

THE DIALOGUE OF THE SERAPHIC VIRGIN CATHERINE OF SIENA - Pts. 1 & 2
"Man is placed above all creatures, and not beneath them, and he cannot be satisfied or content except in something greater than himself. Greater than himself there is nothing but Myself, the Eternal God. Therefore I alone can satisfy him, and, because he is deprived of this satisfaction by his guilt, he remains in continual torment and pain. Weeping follows pain, and when he begins to weep, the wind strikes the tree of self-love, which he has made the principle of all his being.". This work was dictated by Saint Catherine of Siena during a state of ecstasy while in dialogue with God the Father. Saint Catherine of Siena (1347-1380) was declared a Doctor of the Church on October 4, 1970.

SIN IN GENERAL. - ORIGINAL SIN.
1. Sin is a deliberate violation of the law of God.
2. For there to be deliberate violation the person should, in the first place, be competent to judge whether what he contemplates doing is right or wrong; and, in the second place, should of his free will do what he knows to be wrong. Without these two conditions he would not be responsible for what he did and it would not be a case of sin.
3. Sin is the greatest of evils, 1stly, because it is an insult to God, whereas other evils touch creatures only; and, 2ndly., because it is the source of all the evils we suffer in this life and in the next.
4. There are two kinds of sin - original sin and actual or personal sin.
5. Original sin is what we attaches to us from our birth and of which we have inherited the guilt through the disobedience of our first parent Adam. Although we are not personally guilty of this sin with our own personal will, yet it was committed by our human nature with the will of …More

Cardinal Ravasi: Christ Was a "Layman"

Jesus Christ - the great High Priest (Heb 4:14) and High Priest forever (Heb 6:20) - "was a layman," Cardinal Gianfranco Ravasi, 81, former president of the Pontifical Council for Culture, said on 24 April during a round table discussion at the Lateran University in Rome, VaticanNews.va reported.
Ravasi made his embarrassing statement while discussing his distinction between "secular" and "secularist" and his rejection of a "theocratic state model".
The Catechism of the Catholic Church states in §436: "It was necessary for the Messiah to be anointed by the Spirit of the Lord at the same time as King and Priest, and also as Prophet".
In §1551 it explains that the ministerial priesthood "depends entirely on Christ and his unique priesthood" and that "the sacrament of Holy Orders imparts a 'holy power' which is none other than that of Christ".

Jesus Christ is first and foremost God the Son. There is only ONE Person in Our Lord Jesus Christ and that Person is the Second Person of the Blessed Trinity. He is by no means a creature of any kind. Yes, he united to His Divine Person a humanity, a human nature, body and soul. However, there is only one Personal subject in Our Lord and that Personal subject is and always has been and always will be God the Son. He is the Great High priest, King, Prophet, and Lamb of God, offered for our sins. To call Him a "layman" shows the degree to which apostasy from the Catholic and Apostolic Faith has taken over the Vatican. So many prelates seem to be Arian, or semi-Arian -- all under the influence of Karl Rahner, SJ, and his faulty Christology. St. Athanasius and St. Cyril of Alexandria, pray for us!
