VIA LUCIS: The Way of Light | Reflecting on the Resurrection of Jesus The Via Lucis, or the "Way of Light" in Latin, is a Catholic devotion also known as the Stations of the Resurrection. In these Stations, we meditate on Christ's Resurrection and the incredible events that followed, until He sent the Holy Spirit to us at Pentecost. The Stations of the Resurrection emphasize the glory, hope, and certitude of our redemption, the most central event in our Christian faith. As with the Stations of the Cross, different versions exist. Some include only readings or meditations for each Station, and some take the form of a Scripture reading, a short meditation, and a prayer. CATHOLIC REFLECTION wishes you and yours a most joyous Easter in celebration of our Risen Lord and Savior.

Ludovic Duée, 32, captain of Saint-Nazaire Volley-Ball Atlantique (SNVBA), is giving up his [pointless] sporting career to join the Canons of Lagrasse, near Carcassone, a community of the Roman Rite. SNVBA has a significant presence in French volleyball, being the 5th national club and the 2nd regional club with a strong base of 473 members and 12 coaches. Duée told Ouest-France.fr (24 April) that he had chosen "between a vocation and a profession". The future canon was born into a Catholic family, but his faith was awakened late in life. "I always believed in God, but I kept to the minimum," he said. Trapped in his appartment during the Covid hysteria, he experienced loneliness, introspection and healthy existential questioning, and decided to give his life more meaning. Founded in the 7th century as a Benedictine monastery, the Abbey of St Mary of Lagrasse was revived in 2004 by the Canons of St Augustine. The average age of the canons is 43. #newsSkiauytttj

URGENT - PLEASE READ From Citizen Go regarding the WHO Pandemic Treaty: Are you aware of the urgent turn of events regarding the UN’s Pandemic Treaty? We're in the final stretch, and the stakes couldn't be higher. A shocking move looks set to attack our basic freedoms, handing over way too much power to the World Health Organization to control how nations handle health crises and your personal health decisions. This pivotal moment could redefine your liberties, impacting every facet of how you live, work, and make choices about your health and future. The voices of millions of concerned people worldwide slowed them down, yet they're rallying, pushing to seal this dirty deal by the 27th of May. They're desperate, willing even to settle for a diluted treaty, just to claim a 'win.' But this 'win' for them is a loss for us, stripping away layers of your freedom, inch by inch. They're convening yet again, in an extra meeting, starting next Monday, April 29, born out of their panic, to patch …More
