WHY would they do this? I don't understand.
WHY they do it (e.g. if they are open traitors/renegades or are so stupid) - it does not matter for us, God will judge them even if the Church does not.
The most important thing is to treat it as a dire warning (1,000th in last decades) and defend ourselves, our families and the Holy Faith.

Why don't they use coolers too, or egg crates, or plastic scrub buckets? How about card-board boxes, shoe boxes, Swiffer brand disposable floor cleaning bags, a suitcase, a briefcase,.....how about a wallet, or a receptacle for dentures?

In Korea, Fr. Emil Kapaun used the hood of a jeep as an altar. Christ didn't seem to mind. (Google "Kapaun jeep photo")

I never mentioned a tabernacle. The photos I have looked at show a blanket on top of the hood. As for a tabernacle, they appear to be ammunition boxes. If I were a priest going to the front lines to give mass, the last thing I would carry is an altar stone. In situations like that, you improvise. And wouldn't the local parish priests like to have those for their own congregations?

There’s not a decent priest amongst them. The whole method they used for distribution Holy Communion is an offense to Our Lord, but I can’t, for the life of me, think of any reason that a local priest would not make sure that all consecrated Hosts were immediately returned to a proper tabernacle, unless they have no faith.
