Pro-Abortion Senator Dick Durbin “Overwhelmed” By Pope Leo XIV's Defence

On Wednesday, pro-abortion Senator Dick Durbin told NBC News that he was "overwhelmed" by the support he received from Pope Leo XIV.

Durbin was scheduled to receive a "Lifetime Achievement Award" from Chicago Cardinal Blase Cupich in November. However, he declined after facing clear backlash from Catholics, including a few US bishops.

Durbin said he was allegedly surprised by "the level of controversy" and "shocked" by Leo XIV's defense: "It's amazing to me. It’s quite a moment. I didn’t expect it. I didn’t know it was going to happen."

On Tuesday, Leo XIV told reporters about the award for the pro-abortion politician. "I think it’s important to look at the overall work that a senator has done in 40 years of service in the United States Senate."

Would Prevost have said the same thing if Durbin had been supporting and voting to finance butchering Jews and Muslims? For the past 50 years (at least) the conciliar church has openly tolerated abortion. Popes visiting nations whose political leadership and national laws supported abortions and playing nice with that leadership: would they have done this if Jews and Muslims were being butchered? They effectively made abortion a political issue and compromised its status as the decisively defining moral issue of contemporary history. It is an outrage against the Creator - and the conciliar monstrosity has failed to convey this through actions which convey appropriate outrage.

Obviously we cannot judge every act but....like all the so-called Catholic leaders of countries, like Biden, Trudeau...their acceptance of abortion speaks volumes. So what does it say about Leo? Same thing....it speaks an encyclopedia of hypocrisy ...since he cannot envision what abortion really is...He needs to be present to help the reassembling of the baby body parts after they’ve been sucked out of the womb...maybe then he would be able to make a real statement.
