Christ Himself: In an interview with the Wanderer Cardinal Raymond Burke has stated that the changes made in the final report of last year’s Synod of Bishops were an improvement, but – quote – “I do not think they were sufficient.” The Cardinal recalls that the Christian doctrine on divorce is clear. Quote: “It is the word of Christ Himself Who said, «Everyone who divorces his wife and marries another commits adultery.»”
Strange Ruling: Yesterday Pope Francis ruled that Salvadoran Archbishop Oscar Romero died in 1980 as a martyr “in hatred of the faith”. This means that Romero will be beatified without a miracle. The process was stalled by John Paul II and Benedict XVI. Romero was allegedly killed by the Intelligence Agency of El Salvador that murdered for political and not for religious reasons. The murder belonged to the long conflict between U.S.-backed governments and Marxist rebels that killed 75000 persons.
