What Is Wrong With PillarCatholic?

In a July 29 piece about Traditiones custodes, PillarCatholic.com attacks those “sirenic voices" calling for "disobedience," or "casting into doubt the authority of the Vicar of Christ” - a title, Francis refuses to uphold.

The webpage was started in 2021 by two canon lawyers, JD Flynn and Ed Condon. The article, written by Flynn names Cardinal Burke, Bishops Mutsaerts and Bishop Schneider.

Flynn even believes that priests who “actually refuse obedience could find themselves in the practical circumstance of schism” [for celebrating the Mass of the Apostles while homosex Masses and liturgical abuses are a sign of communion with Francis?].

In a reply, Rorate-Caeli.blogspot.com explained to Flynn that the power of the "Vicar of Christ" is not arbitrary or despotic. The blog asks Flynn to withdraw his insinuation against the three Catholic prelates. However, it must be supposed that Flynn was aware of Rorate's common sense arguments.

This begs the question what interests and agendas PillarCatholic.com is serving. One of their first articles defended abortion-tainted Covid-19 vaccines, and slammed the courageous pro-lifer Abby Johnson. Most recently, the webpage attracted the oligarchs' attention (=advertisement) by publishing data leaks on homosex clergy.

The gist of it is that you certainly can’t trust a diocesan paper, for instance, to give fair coverage of the handling of sex abuse in the Church, given the conflict of interest that is so obvious that it doesn’t need to be disclosed. Of course, the independent, non profit news outlets are controlled by their major donors, and donor lists are not disclosed. So, we are left having to evaluate everything they write, as to its credibility, for ourselves. We should be far beyond they days of allowing ourselves to be influenced by appeals to authority, or any other logical fallacy. As for Pillar, if they are right about sexual deviancy amongst clergy, that has no bearing on whether they are right about vaccines, or the TLM.

Disobedience cannot be charged when there is no legitimate order from a superior. The pope has no authority to do what he is trying to do with the liturgy and so there cannot be any question of disobedience.

Curious to know, does the Church fly the flag in order to bring the LBQT home to Jesus? Honest question. I surely hope so or we are living in the times Sr. Lucia said....

Thank you, I honestly didn’t know. ( Nurse);)

For fideists like them, Bergoglio is above all criticism and untouchable. Why don't they investigate Bergoglio’s protection of homoheretics like James Martin and many of his ilk? Can they even prove that TC is an infallible document or even part 9f the ordinary magisterium?

Flynn and Condon are to bright to be fideists. What if there is a secret service involved (they would have the leaked app data)?
