The Anti-Marian Current at Vatican II It is widely acknowledged among traditionalists that the Second Vatican Council contained many elements which were designed to appease non-Catholics. This is most obvious in the changes which were later made to the Mass and the failure to condemn Communism at the time of the Council itself. However this non-Catholic appeasement also worked in an extraordinary way against devotion to the Mother of God, who was in many ways directly insulted by the progressive Council Fathers. They ignored the most significant miracle since biblical times - at Fatima. Then suppressed the messages. They failed to consecrate Russia as requested. As Jesus said to Sister Lucy they are following the example of the King of France. We all know how that ended.
Hmmm - If the Council Fathers loved our Lady so much, then why did they scrap an entire document about our Lady and give Her ONE CHAPTER in Lumen Gentium?
@Mirror I am sorry to disagree with you, but I do not believe VII was in the best interest of the Catholic church. Do you really think their unwillingness to expose the Third Secret of Fatima, to be True Marian Devotion? God bless you!
