"The podium will not be adorned with a crucifix given that the majority of migrants are Muslims," Malta Archdiocese [= Archbishop Charles Jude Scicluna] decided before Francis’ April 3 meeting with illegal immigrants during his Malta trip.
By replacing the Cross with a wall of pet bottles to protest plastic pollution in the sea, and placing himself in front of it, Francis turned into Bergoglio.
Then he declaimed, "This is the way! The road of fraternity and social friendship. Here is the future of the human family in a globalised world." Local media explained that Francis visited Malta to defend illegal immigrants and the ecology.
