Polish State Official Challenges Vatican Over Traditionis Custodes

Sławomir Cenckiewicz, the Head of the National Security Bureau and Secretary of State in the Polish presidential chancellery, was received by Pope Leo XIV and various Vatican prelates, including Cardinal Parolin, and he mentioned the Mass in the Roman rite.

On 6 September, Cenckiewicz posted on Facebook: "If you think that during my two visits to the Vatican and my private conversations with prelates, there was no mention of Catholic tradition and the injustice of Traditionis Custodes, you are mistaken..."

Cenckiewicz has been in office since 7 August. His expertise is modern Polish history, including communist-era security services, political dissidence, emigration, and post-1989 security issues.

He mentioned that he had offered "filial homage to the Vicar of Christ", visited the rooms in which St Pius X had lived and worked, and admired paintings by great masters such as El Greco, Dürer and Caravaggio.

If the policy changes, it seems that there will also be changes in doctrinal approaches. This time the opposite of what we have seen in recent decades.

The situation created by TC is untenable: theologically and pastorally. If politicians also see it this way and articulate it, then that is most welcome, especially since certain people in Rome are less interested in theology and pastoral than in politics.

Thank you Sławomir Cenckiewicz!

In Traditionis Custode, Vatican Council II was interpreted irrationally and not rationally.l factual and objective mistake was made. What is implicit is confused as being explicit and then a libeal conclusion is projected. The same mistake was made during the schism-trial of Archbishop Carlo Maria Vigano.

What a man! DG

The Pope's title is "Servant of the servants of Christ" but he certainly is not that.
