Cardinal Cupich About Roman Rite: “Liturgy Was Spectacle”

The traditional Roman rite liturgy was “more of a spectacle rather than the active participation of all the baptised”, Chicago Cardinal Blase Cupich, a friend of Leo XIV, wrote on VaticanNews.va (October 21).

He repeated the lie that the liturgical reform of the 1960s had benefited from scholarly research into liturgy. According to him, there were adaptations, that were introduced over time, which incorporated elements from imperial and royal courts.

“By purifying the liturgy of these adaptations, the aim was to enable the liturgy to sustain the Church's renewed sense of herself.”

Cardinal Cupich considers the social concern for those in need as “criterion by which the authenticity of our Eucharistic celebrations is judged”.

Speaking of the Novus Ordo, he said the Eucharist is “the locus of solidarity with the poor in a fractured world.”

"...spectacle..." yes ! a high TLM is spectacle of public adoration for the Triune God and the continuing death and offering to God the Father of The Son for our sins. It's the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. A group hug, and all around get together it is not.

Farrell does not accept Vatican Council II interpreted rationally.

Cup-itch obviously does not believe in the Catholic Faith. He is an arrogant demonic imposter who needs to have his fake episcopal ass kicked out of the Church - unless he repents and converts to the true Catholic Faith.
