Gemany Makes Next Step: Muslim Receives Communion

Muhterem Aras - a Turkey born female Muslim politician of the German Green war-party and speaker of the Baden-Württemberg parliament, grabbed Holy Communion on Ascension, May 26.

The sacrilege was committed at a Eucharist presided by Stuttgart Bishop Gebhard Fürst, 73. This was the opening event of Stuttgart's Katholikentag, a festival-like gathering organised by "Catholic" laity.

The president of the Lutheran Church in Württemberg, Sabine Foth, attended the Eucharist but refrained from grabbing Communion out of “respect for the bishop.” During Communion, people took Communion with one or two hands and dipped it like a cracker in a chalice.

According to Stuttgarter-Nachrichten.de, the "guests" were a "little casual” about Communion. A Protestant asked if he could receive Communion and the lady distributing it replied, “I don't know. I only know that it is the body of Christ.”

I remember reading about some Protestant Church a few years ago that had a dog come up for “communion,” and the “minister” was a little surprised, but gave it to the dog. Novus ordo-land isn’t far off from this.
