A WARNING FROM HEAVEN, OR A NATURAL COINCIDENCE? On December 27, Lepanto Institute posted on “X” (former twitter) two pictures of a statue of St. Peter in Argentina, one before it was hit by lightning, and the other after it was damaged by it. The post told of an incident that happened on Sunday December 17, 2023, when lightning literally blew off the halo and the key of the statue of Saint Peter, located on the facade of the Sanctuary of Our Lady of the Rosary of San Nicolas, north of Buenos Aires, Argentina. Argentina is the homeland of Pope Francis, and December 17 is his birthday. It is also the day prior to the publication of the “Fiducia Supplicans” declaration on December 18.
