The 2024-2025 pastoral year, which ends this Friday, recorded an increase in pilgrims of around 4.6%, according to provisional data relating to the period between January 1st and October 31st, 2025. On November 29th, a new pastoral year begins at the Sanctuary of Fatima, with the theme "Grace and Mercy: Heart of Mary, Path to see God".
A Jubilee Year Lived Under the Sign of Hope
In Fatima, the experience of the 2024/25 pastoral year had as its central axis the Jubilee Year, lived under the guiding thread of hope. As a Jubilee Sanctuary, Fatima offered pilgrims the opportunity to experience this milestone in the Church in a unique way, with the possibility of obtaining plenary indulgence and participating in various special events and pilgrimages held within this context.

BRAZIL | The new monument dedicated to Our Lady of Fatima, inaugurated this Thursday (13) in Ceará, drew attention for its grandeur. At 54 meters high, the statue became the largest in the world dedicated to the saint, surpassing even Christ the Redeemer in Rio de Janeiro, which is 38 meters tall including the pedestal — and 30 meters for the sculpture alone.
Another monument that also fell short of the new tribute is the giant Buddha of Ibiraçu, in the north of Espírito Santo, which now loses in proportion to the Ceará statue.
The inauguration ceremony attracted thousands of faithful to the municipality of Crato, in the Cariri region. According to the Government of Ceará, more than 100 caravans from at least six states participated in the event, reinforcing the strength of devotion to Our Lady of Fatima in the region.

O município do Crato viveu um momento histórico nesta quarta-feira (13) com a bênção e inauguração da nova imagem de Nossa Senhora de Fátima, que possui 54 metros de altura e já é considerada um dos maiores monumentos religiosos do Brasil. Mais de 35 mil fiéis vindos de todo o Ceará e de outros seis estados participaram da celebração, que integrou o Jubileu Mariano Diocesano.
A cerimônia marcou oficialmente a entrega da estátua, criada pelo artista Ranilson Viana e inspirada na réplica da peregrina mundial localizada na Catedral de Nossa Senhora da Penha, originalmente esculpida pelo português Guilherme Ferreira Thedim.
A programação teve início às 17h com a recepção das caravanas dos romeiros, seguida pelo Terço Mariano e pelo translado da imagem peregrina até o altar. Às 19h, foi celebrada a Missa Solene, que contou com Bênção Apostólica e concessão de indulgência plenária aos fiéis presentes.
